Lily is a born and bred West Londoner of half Dominican & half English heritage and after loosing her hearing from a young age she now wears a cochlear implant which replaces acoustic hearing with electric - never one to be held back she taught herself to lipread. She grew up in a household of performing arts, her mother is a casting director, her father is a film & stage actor and her sister took a path into theatre production. It was her photographer godfather who first introduced her to the magical world of the camera, and after studying photography at Bournemouth Art Institute she went on to assist world-famous photographer/director Sam Taylor-Johnson. For Lily nothing quite beats the feeling of shooting on film. She intuitively chases natural light and settings in order to depict the most honest version of her sitters.
